We are looking for an Area Manager to help us install new customers and expand our network. The position is 90% operations focused on managing the sign-up list, scheduling site surveys, scheduling installations, and managing staff schedules. Maintenance and repair functions and new sales are additional responsibilities, along with sending marketing newsletters and sending status updates to our county and town partners. Commission payments are based on new customer installations.  This position will cover Mathews and Gloucester County areas in Virginia. The Area Manager must be located within this territory. Looking for candidates from Newport News/Hampton, Richmond, or Williamsburg areas.

 

Duties include coordinating new service installations, customer support, marketing, new sales, and government and community relations. As the lead person for your territory you will need to leverage internal resources for engineering and operations, as well as identify and coordinate the addition of contract installers. Management of installations is the key factor in compensation. 

 

We seek outstanding organizational and customer relationship skills. We expect you to be an excellent communicator who can interface well with local government leaders in the counties and towns, local business owners, and residential users. You will ensure our clients are happy and search for ways to grow our sales. If you are also goal-driven and analytical, we’d like to meet you.

 

Responsibilities

 

·       Manage the signup list and get prospective customers installed and into billing

·       Analyze the local market to identify where new hub locations will be effective.

·       Meet with customers to address concerns and provide solutions

·       Manage the schedules of field technicians for installations and repair

·       Present products and services to prospective customers

·       Participate in industry or promotional events (e.g. trade shows) to cultivate customer relationships

·       Conduct training in sales techniques and company product attributes

·       Assess installation performance according to KPIs

·       Monitor competition within the assigned region

·       Prepare and submit reports to the CEO and to our county and town partners

 

Requirements

 

·       Self-motivated mindset and able to work with remote support teams

·       Proven experience in managing schedules and workflows to accomplish goals

·       Proven track record of delivering operations results; telecom/ISP knowledge is required

·       Ability to develop sales strategies and use performance KPIs

·       Proficient in Google Docs, MS Office; familiarity with a CRM system such as Salesforce is a plus

·       Excellent communication skills, and ability to speak with county and town leaders

·       Organizational and leadership ability

·       Problem-solving aptitude

·       BS/BA in Business, Marketing or a related field
